OlivitalyMed returns to shine the spotlight on extra virgin olive oil as a symbol of Italian agro-food excellence and a core element of the Mediterranean Diet. From April 26 to 28, 2025, the enchanting Castle of Rocca Cilento, in the town of Lustra (SA), will welcome more than 70 producers from Italy and abroad for an international showcase where quality meets culture, innovation, and hospitality.
The event, born from an idea by architect Stefano Sgueglia and curated by the Sgueglia family, aims to promote and communicate the value of EVO oil, emphasizing the bond between production and territory. Backed once again by the Campania Regional Department of Agriculture, led by Nicola Caputo, OlivitalyMed is quickly becoming a leading event in the sector with growing international recognition.

Throughout the three-day program, visitors and professionals will enjoy B2B meetings, guided tastings, sensory masterclasses, and talks on science, culture, and food. Saturday, April 26, kicks off with a major conference on oleotourism, featuring voices from Regione Campania, Coldiretti, CIA, ANFO, Oleum, Slow Food Campania, and the Sgueglia family. This is followed by networking between producers and international buyers and a roundtable on the emblematic communities of the Mediterranean Diet, including delegations from Spain, Greece, Portugal, Croatia, and Morocco.
Sunday, April 27, focuses on health and nutrition with the conference “EVO oil that heals,” exploring the nutraceutical properties of extra virgin olive oil. At noon, the spectacular Rivellino courtyard of the castle will host the Oil Loc Brunch, an exclusive tasting experience where chefs, pizza makers, gelato artisans, and mixologists from Campania will interpret EVO oil in creative and surprising ways. The day continues with a masterclass by Marco Oreggia, editor of the world-famous Flos Olei guide, and an evening talk with Maestro Peppe Vessicchio, combining music and Mediterranean flavors.
Monday, April 28, turns the spotlight on restaurants and pizzerias, with a panel discussion on the Carta degli Olii (Oil Lists) and EVO oil in food service, in collaboration with the Associazione Verace Pizza Napoletana (AVPN). The program will include show cooking events, technical EVO tastings, and discussions on the importance of oil in food storytelling.
OlivitalyMed 2025 is supported by a strong network of institutional and industry partners: the Campania Region (Agriculture Department), Scabec S.p.A. (through the Campania Artecard network), Province of Salerno, Cilento and Vallo di Diano National Park, Municipality of Lustra, National Association of Oil Cities, Slow Food Campania, and leading agricultural associations including Coldiretti, Confagricoltura, CIA, Copagri, ANFO, and Oleum.
The presence of Mediterranean Diet communities from five countries underscores the event’s international dimension, merging tradition and innovation in the name of high-quality EVO oil.
